If you’ve been watching this space you know that Red Hex has been touring Europe with Slovenly Recordings’ Bazooka. Tour was a smash and the guys are now back in Tacoma. While they were gone the Shoulda Known 7” received heaps of accolades. We couldn’t be more excited for their success.

Found these in a bloated gVIM session; posting them so I can remove the files. There was some dumb personality-test/art-project, so I took it twice in a row to see what would happen. Predictably, what happened was a pair of quite different vague descriptions that don’t have anything in particular to do with me. Fun? Maybe. (If you want an actually accurate precis, enquire of the attendant. You will be provided words like “grumpy, coffee, mezcal, loud”.)

or, “individual with disabilitiy finds way to leverage unique position as marginalized individual.” not entirely sure that’s the reading I’d advocate but would like to suggest it as a possibility.

Also interesting: on Marketplace last night, this came in for some aggressive, explicit verbal disapproval from the host, Kai Ryssdal. I could be wrong, but I don’t think this happened even one time during the mortgage crisis, with its millions of cases of documented fraud, with the ankling of the bailout at the worst possible time, with, say, Enron, etc. Interesting to note what can attract opprobrium. I’m writing a letter to Marketplace about this, will update if they respond.

(Pre-cheese stage. This is 1 can of diced tomatoes, one can of black beans, 1 jalapeno, all atop 1/2 sauteed onion. Usually I throw this inside a flour tortilla, but today I’m thinking cheesed-up corn tortilla under this under an *egg*, goddamn it! We’ll see if my mind holds up.)
